TDR Time Domain Reflectometer / Network Analysis / Cable Test
Handheld cable test fault-finders are designed for first-line repair and less specialised field operatives where the requirement is accurate and consistent fault location on the most common types of field problems such as open and short circuits. It is used by telecoms, CATV and power segments.
Advanced Cable Test
Advanced Cable Test Fault-finders combine high level functionality and TDR performance for the experienced user. The instruments are tailored for the telecoms, CATV and power markets. They provide advanced features such as dynamic horizontal and vertical zoom, large high resolution screens, return loss measurements, intuitive operation and full PC connectivity to simplify the fault finding process.
Multifunction network analyzers
Multifunction network analyzers test twisted pair quality, identify and locate faults, and troubleshoot noise and signal issues. These measurements offer a quick and thorough method to determine if the cabling is capable of supporting xDSL technology and for finding other signalling network issues.
6100 Series Network Analysis Tools
Featuring traditional copper measurements to assess loop quality and identify common faults, DSL tests to provide pass/fail indications of frequency performance, and also offering LAN and IP testing, the 6100 family offers nearly everything the tier-1 technician performing installation, copper qualification and service turn-up requires.
The 6100 family consists of 3 products. All of them evaluate the copper infrastructure, covering parameters such as voltage, resistance, capacitance and time domain reflectometry, to test basic twisted pair quality, identify and locate faults, and troubleshoot noise and signal issues.
The two 6100-Gfast products are designed to make DSL/IP turn-up easy and so additionally allow users to run multiple highly-automated, scripted and customisable tests covering a broad spectrum of ADSL2+, VDSL2, and G.fast standards.
The result is a cable tester whose 1% distance accuracy and resolution gives technicians the tool they need to find faults quickly and accurately. Added to this is the Lexxi T1660’s great value that allows more technicians to be equipped.
The Lexxi T1660 is suitable for analysing all metallic cables consisting of at least two metallic elements, one of which can be the armouring or the screen. Cable types include CATV, twisted pair telecom, Ethernet and even LV power cables. The Lexxi T1660 is shipped with a set of 100Ω crocodile clip Twisted Pair connection cables as standard. A range of optional plug-in modules make it adaptable to the requirements of a wide variety of industries and applications, with the Blocking Filter module allowing safe analysis of live 3-phase mains cables. Radiodetection’s Lexxi T1660 offers innovation and economy, enabling a step-change in productivity.
