Brief Introduction
The access network ODN is a kind of FTTH optic fiber network that mainly based on the PON equipment. Its role is to provide optical transmission channels between the OLT and the ONU. It is an access networking method that brings the fiber close to the user. Passive Optical Network (PON) technology uses optical fiber as the transmission medium, with full passive optical split transmission, large transmission capacity, high transmission quality, long transmission distance, high reliability, anti-electromagnetic interference, integrated service provision, and bandwidth allocation,strategy, networking flexibility and other advantages.Functionally, the ODN can be divided into five parts: the access machine room system, the feeder cable system, the distribution cable system, the incoming line cable system and the fiber terminal system.
